The Distinguished Service Award is to recognize an individual for a significant number of years and/or specific and meritorious service to the athletics department or Varsity Club. To qualify, the service must be above and beyond the ordinary service that the individual would be expected to provide to the department or club.
The recipient need not be a letter winner, making this award open to coaches, news media, staff members, and the general public.
