All nominations must be submitted to the Chair of the Awards Committee by March 1, and should include as much relevant information as possible to enhance the possibility of a qualified nominee being selected to receive the award. Nominations can only be made by a member who is current on their annual dues for the present year. The Awards Committee shall review the nominations and present the recommended recipient(s) to the Board of Directors for approval at the June meeting. All awards will be presented at the annual Varsity Club Hall of Fame Weekend in the fall. If there is no nominee for an award that the Awards Committee and Board feel is deserving, the award will not be given that year. While the Club appreciates and understands the significance of financial contributions to the University of Iowa Foundation and Athletics Department, these awards are not to be used as recognition for financial contributions.
