Eligibility
To be eligible for membership in the National Iowa Varsity Club, you must:
- Be an alumnus of the University of Iowa
- Have won a Varsity Letter in an athletic program at the University of Iowa
- Have exhausted your collegiate athletic eligibility
OR
- Be nominated and elected by the active membership as deserving of an honorary membership

There are two (2) categories of membership:
1) Active Members
Active Membership is reserved for those Letterwinners who have paid their membership dues for the current year. Having paid dues, active members enjoy the following benefits:
- Attend official National Iowa Varsity Club functions
- Attend officially sponsored reunions (including complimentary game tickets)
- Athletic season and bowl game ticket priority
- Full access to www.iowavarsityclub.com, including:
- Networking opportunities
- Complete photo gallery from past events
- Online event registration
- Participation in student-athlete mentoring programs
- Nominate members for awards, honorary membership, and entry into the Iowa Athletics Hall of Fame
- Vote for award winners, honorary membership and Hall of Fame Inductees
- Opportunity to serve on the National Iowa Varsity Club Board of Directors
- Exclusive Varsity Club merchandise
- So much more...
2) Inactive Members
Inactive members are those Letterwinners who meet the eligibility criteria, but are not current on their annual dues. These members do not receive any of the benefits listed above until they activate their membership.
