The National Iowa Varsity Club is dedicated to promoting, preserving and protecting the accomplishments and memory of the men and women who have competed on all varsity athletic venues for The University of Iowa. The Club shall operate as a not-for-profit organization with close coordination with the Department.

The objectives of the Club are: 1) to serve University of Iowa varsity award winners; 2) to promote, preserve, and protect the accomplishments and memory of University of Iowa alumni varsity student-athletes; and 3) to promote, foster, and assist in the growth and betterment of The University of Iowa athletics program.

The Club has two primary programs: the first is to sponsor and administer The National Iowa Varsity Club Athletic Hall of Fame and the second is the administration of the I-Ring Program.
